Marketing Support
At LS, daily work tasks didn’t just involve eLearning development but also marketing support with ad design, html emails and web design with animated header graphics and flash banners.

Elegant product graphics were created after individual products were cut from their flattened backgrounds. With Photoshop’s pen tool set on bezier curves, I averaged great times for popping out products and arranging them to design these collages. See Categories
Learning in the aisles
Product movies were accessible on shelf-mounted units. They had short movies that played to educate shoppers in 45 seconds. Button-activated units were set up among end-cap displays to test shopper reactions on the concept of teaching shoppers more about the product(s).

T-Mag
Working for Tallahassee Magazine was pretty cool. Short-lived but pretty cool. I had taken on three major responsibilities beyond what I was hired to do, and was glad to do them. It was a great learning experience and provided a nice collection of published accomplishments. I love the magazine. They’re really talented over there. Especially Saige.

Print design and color separation

Bay Innovations Graphics was my first job out of Florida State, and I was stoked to be working under the wing of an Art Director who was wicked talented. His pencil sketches and ink work was really something to be admired. I had my own designs to build and color, then separate into pantone color plates on printed vellum. But as well, I had to do the digital work for the director’s art too. The computer was something he had no part of in 1996. I sure hope he’s embraced digital editing by now.
Good to be King was a design for Sea World. We each had to submit at least three ideas for the theme park that week.
